Launched in February 2017, The SafeWordSociety Podcast, uses interviews & discussions with community members to build QTPOC+ cultural competency within the media landscape. It has been heralded for creating a safe space for versatility and self-definition while uplifting the stories of those that are too often muted.
The visibility packs
Launched in February 2018, The SafeWordSociety Visibility Pack is a discussion-based card game conceptualized by Kristen McCallum, as a collective learning & engagement tool to initiate and enhance safe space discourse. Each pack provides
access to appropriate language and other key elements necessary to engage the nuanced experiences of the many communities in today's society.
SafeWordSociety offers a variety of workshops and curriculum-based learning opportunities for individuals, corporate & non-profit entities as well as academic institutions. Using our proven model of discussion-based engagement we continue to foster change by promoting social justice and actionable inclusivity.
SafeWordSociety has produced discussion-based events and experiences for mission-aligned brands/businesses. Ranging from a New York Fashion Week in Sept. 2017 for gender-neutral eveningwear designer, Kris Harring to more recently, a film screening & talkback at Brooklyn Museum in June for the Pride Edition of Target First Saturday.
